The sounds of Street Fighter II are more than just memorable — they’re iconic. And, we’re not just talking about the effects. There was also the game’s incredible soundtrack that made gameplay so much cooler. Now, the original Street Fighter II arcade soundtrack is heading to vinyl for the first time ever.

The vinyl soundtrack will include remasters of both CPS-1 and CPS-2 versions of the arcade cabinet, and will include liner notes from Yoko Shimomura, the game’s composer. The Street Fighter II Arcade Vinyl will be put out by Capcom and Brave Wave Productions, a record label well-known for releasing video game soundtracks. The soundtrack will be placed on translucent-colored vinyl, and the cover will be taken directly from Capcom’s archive of incredible art. Of course, owning the vinyl soundtrack won’t make you any better against E. Honda’s Hundred Rending Slaps. [Purchase]
