Stranger Things: The Upside Down Bar
If you haven’t already watched the ’80s-inspired Netflix smash hit Stranger Things – well, you’re missing out. Especially because season two is just around the corner. And, in preparation for the next installment of the sci-fi/fantasy story set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, a new pop-up bar has opened in Downtown Chicago – aptly named, The Upside Down.
Open through the end of September, this libation station is loaded with Stranger Things references – including a recreation of the Byers’ Christmas light-laden living room, both Eggo- and Demogorgon-inspired cocktails (amongst a few others), an outdoor area made to look like the woods outside Hawkins National Labs, and more. There’s even an arcade full of old-school video game classics. Taking a trip to this rad temporary tavern is certainly the ideal way to prep for the show’s season premier this October.
