Jet skis already constitute the most fun you can have on the water, but you know what would make them even better? A V8 engine, of course, and that’s what boat builder Kurt Strand’s Strand Craft has cooked up with their V8 Daytona GT.
The Strand Craft V8 Daytona GT is a personal watercraft that’s powered by a supercharged 6.2L aluminum V8 engine. There’s no word on horsepower or performance, but a forced-induction engine with that much displacement should be an absolute monster in the water. Far from being a strict performance vehicle, the V8 Daytona GT is also crafted with luxury in mind. It features a standard 15-inch LED touchscreen, premium audio system, and under-seat cooler, as well as available options like a carbon fiber body, teak wood deck, and an underwater camera. Strand Craft says the V8 Daytona GT has been in development for over five years, but there’s no word yet on when they’ll actually be up for sale. Once they do hit the water, though, there’s a good chance we’ll be able to hear them coming.
