Stone Brewing Crime and Punishment Beer

Dec 4, 2019

Stone Brewing has long been a home town favorite here in San Diego (their Escondido based brewery and restaurant is beautiful), and we commend them for experimental brews like the newly introduced Crime and Punishment.

It’s two different beers really. On one side you have Crime, which is the brand’s Lucky Bastard beer (Arrogant Bastard, Oaked Arrogant Bastard and Double Bastard), brewed with a heavy infusion of spicy peppers, adding one hell of a kick to the beer. The Crime is similar, but uses Double Bastard ale as the base to the concoction. The Punishment measures in at 9.6% ABV while the stronger Punishment comes in at 12% ABV, enough to have you buzzed on just a few glasses. With a brand new company store opening up this weekend across the street from us, we know where will be heading for drinks tonight.
