These Stilted Prefab Bungalows Elevate Your Life Above The Landscape

In the wake of the tiny house craze and with more and more people wanting to expand their housing options, there are more exceptional prefabricated abodes than ever. However, the folks at Bali-based Stilt Studios offer a range of homes that offer something a little more unique than the rest of the competition: elevation.

As the firm’s name suggests, these prefabricated bungalows — designed by Alexis Dornier — are all built on stilts to elevate your living space above the surrounding landscape to offer better immersion and views. They’re also created with an eco-conscious mindset, built with sustainable materials and offered with renewable tech — like solar panels and rainwater collectors. Dornier even suggests that there’s the possibility of a modular structure, so multiple units can be connected together. They’re still in the conceptual stages, but the future looks pretty bright for these towering, minimalist abodes.
