Steve McQueen’s 1963 Triumph Bonneville

The Legendary ultra-cool film star of the 1960s, Steve McQueen, had an impressive arsenal in his garage, including a 1934 Indian Sport Scout, a 1976 Porsche 930 Turbo Carrera, and a 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4. Another one of his gems is this 1963 Triumph Bonneville motorcycle, which was heavily modified for off-road racing.

The bike’s modifications came from McQueen’s friend and stunt double Bud Ekins, who added numerous specialized parts. After customizing the bike, the duo handed the bike off to Von Dutch for a paint job, who gave it a deep green colorway. It’s the many well-known hands that this bike has touched that makes it such a catch, and it’s expected to fetch over $50,000 at an auction at Bonhams in January. [Purchase]
