State Bicycle Co. Enters the 36 Chambers with Wu-Tang Clan Collab

Dating back to its conception in 2009, State Bicycle Co. has paid homage to a handful of pop cultural icons, those of which include the likes of The Simpsons and even Toucan Sam. However, in 2013, the Arizona-based manufacturers looked to the opposite coast upon taking inspiration from the iconic Wu-Tang Clan, and they’re doing it once again nearly a whole decade later. Proving just how wide of a reach the Staten Island-bred posse has to its name, State’s latest collaboration ain’t nothing to — well, you know the rest.

The new collection consists of three of State’s most popular models, as well as an array of matching parts and attire. These bikes include the Klunker, a retro-inspired hodge-podge that takes bits and pieces from a beach cruiser, mountain bike, and BMX bike. Next in line is the single-speed Core Line, which can easily be claimed as State’s flagship accounting for the brand’s spike in popularity after its release. Rounding out the trio of two-wheelers is the 6061 Black Label, which boasts an aluminum frame for optimized lightweight performance.

The frameset for the 6061 and Core Line can each be purchased individually, which serves as a solid start to this joint effort’s sprawling variety of befitting gear. These additional items consist of a Wu-Tang Clan-branded bar bag, black-and-yellow stem caps, and a pair of saddle options, one of which is embellished with a killer bee. And while it may not be legitimate Wu-Wear, there are a variety of sustainably-crafted shirts, bibs, jerseys, and caps to pick up as well.

Collaborations like this are what goes to show that Wu-Tang truly is forever. The bikes in State’s new collection range in price between $450-$800, while the additional gear is available starting from $15.
