Now that Disney owns the property, we’re basically guaranteed to be getting new Star Wars movies, shows, and games ad infinitum. And that’s wonderful for fans of the series. It also means the only thing left to pine for is a chance to actually live in that world. But, it looks like Disney is going to tackle that, as well, with an interesting upcoming project: a Star Wars-themed resort.

Confirmed by Bob Chapek, chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, confirmed plans for this resort only days ago, as well as a few little extra nuggets of information. The biggest reveal, however, is that the plan is to make it much more than just another themed hotel – the brand wants to turn it into a “100% immersive” experience in which visitors actually become a part of the experience. In fact, they’re even claiming that, when staying there, guests will dress in world-appropriate attire. From the moment you wake up until you go back to sleep, you will actually be able to live in the Star Wars universe. Needless to say, we’ll be keeping our ears to the ground for more info about this one.
