Star Wars Characters as Classical Greek Statues
Parisian performance artist Travis Durden has shown off his latest creations, Star Wars characters sculpted in the style of famous Greco-Roman statues and painted in the style of Renaissance-style artwork.
The statues are on display at Galerie Sakura in Paris under his “Contra Attaque” exhibition, which will run until January 15. If you’ve ever wondered what Darth Vader looks like underneath his clothes, Durden has you covered. A somber Boba Fett? Yes, he’s there too. Other notable statues include a stormtrooper, Yoda in the style of one of those Cupid angel babies, and Princess Leia painting in a Renaissance-style. Of course, Durden didn’t do this all alone, as he had the help of over 35 international artists, including Sacha Goldberger and Alexandre Nicholas.
