Spyderco Dragonfly 2 Salt

Seeing a tried and true knife get an update can rub some people the wrong way. It’s an understandable reaction seeing that it is much easier to screw something up than it is to get it right. Spyderco’s update of their Dragonfly 2 Salt doesn’t fall into that category.

In regards to the actual shape, feel, and cutting action of the knife, nothing has really changed on this five and a half inch long knife. It still has an FRN handle with a bi-directional grip pattern, left/right tip up clip, and easy to carry size. The primary difference is the H-1 steel the company used for this particular line. Essentially the ultimate in corrosion resistance in the world of steel, the addition of an H-1 blade makes this is an ideal knife for scuba divers, boating enthusiasts, or just about any other person who finds themselves on the water more often than not. Use it all day, everyday in the water and you will not see it rust – period. While that does come with the small tradeoff of being not quite as good at holding an edge, it’s a small price to pay for someone who needs a knife to function in a wet environment. Pick yours up for $56. [Purchase]
