Nothing is better at reminding you that you are just a kid grown tall than Sphero’s RC toys. A couple years ago they came out with the smash hit BB8 droid from Star Wars, and now – to our delight – they’re rolling out the Ultimate Lightning McQueen Vehicle.

Not only is this replica of Pixar’s Cars protagonist perfect down to almost every detail – it’s incredibly fun to drive. Using the RC car’s app controls via Bluetooth Smart v4.0 connection, you can can get McQueen to drift, do donuts, and rocket around your backyard or home at speeds up to 6 mph. But speed isn’t everything here. Sphero has managed to get a whole lot of personality into this little toy. Lightning is super emotive thanks to his expressive eyes and articulating chassis. The car has five different capacitive touch panels that when tapped will trigger a response. After all, it is the personalities that make Pixar movies so great, isn’t it?
