Anyone who’s spent even a modicum of time outdoors quickly realizes the utility of keeping a flashlight and lighter on hand. The good people over at Power Practical understand this reality, and in turn have developed a multi-purpose flashlight that’s perfect for just about any outdoor activity.
It’s called the Sparkr, and it’s a flashlight/lantern/windproof plasma lighter. The flashlight boasts up to 150 lumens that’ll work to light up even the darkest nights and can be converted into a lantern to bring some additional visibility to the campsite. The plasma lighter at the opposing end creates an arc of electricity, similar to the spark plug in a car, that can start a fire using kindling or paper with ease. It’s all powered by a large 3,350 mAh rechargeable lithium ion battery that will power the flashlight for up to 4 hours on high and 16 hours on low and the body is made from anodized aluminum. Interested buyers can also pick up a mini version of the Sparkr as well, a perfect addition to any EDC arsenal. It’s all available now on Kickstarter, slated to retail at $80. [Purchase]
