SoulArc Performance Skateboard

It’s easy to forget sometimes, but skateboarding was just a spin-off from surfing. Somewhere during the middle of the 20th century, when surfers needed something to ride when the waves were flat or the sharks were feisty, the skateboard was born. Looking to take skating back to its H2o-laden roots, SoulArc presents its new Performance board, with a unique design that aims to mimic the feel of actual surfing.

Thanks to a rigid maple deck above and a composite spring below, the SoulArc board promises a truly unique ride. The board also features neoprene bumpers, Randal 180 trucks, and 64mm wheels. Mitch Mulder and Salvaore Vilardi came up with the concept as a result of a class project at Kendall College of Art and Design, and this surely beats the chocolate lava volcano that got us a sparkling D+ at our juco.
