With vaccinations rising and COVID cases dropping, summer 2021 is shaping up to be one to remember. And Sony is making sure that you’ll be ready for all of your upcoming gatherings with the release of four brand-new wireless speakers.
Headlining the collection are the new Sony X-Series Wireless Speakers. This trifecta of high-end portable speakers is loaded with features and new audio tech. The speakers — XP500, XG500, and XP700 — are designed to be played loud through their X-Balanced Speaker Unit with high-efficiency tweeters and booming bass. The boombox-like XG500 is the most portable of the bunch, with a wide handle, IP66 water resistance, and up to 30 hours of battery life. The two XP speakers, meanwhile, have slightly lower water resistance and battery life but add Omnidirectional Party Sound that fills whatever space you’re in with music. Also new is the XB13 mini speaker. Though its size is reminiscent of a coffee mug, the speaker is still capable of producing big sound thanks to EXTRA BASS technology and a Sound Diffusion Processor. It also features full IP67 waterproofing and a UV-resistant coating to protect the finish on its five available colors. All speakers are currently listed on Amazon, with the X-Series speakers available for pre-order and the XB13 on sale now for $58.
