Sony LED Bulb + Bluetooth Speaker

Category: Tech

Are you looking for a little music and mood lighting? Sony’s about to offer them both in one tidy package. The company’s newest LED bulb also functions as a Bluetooth speaker, letting you stream music from your light source.

The 360-lumen bulb pairs with a smartphone, and you can control the volume and brightness with a dedicated remote control which can also sync up via NFC. Of course with a speaker the size of a light bulb, sound quality is going to be a concern, so we’ll have to wait on that. Japan will be the first to hear and see it for themselves on May 23 with a $200 asking price, while a U.S. release date has yet to be determined.
