Sony 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector

There was a time in the ’90s that it seemed like projectors, as opposed to televisions, were the wave of the future in home entertainment. But their lack of technological advancement and impracticality put the kibosh on the whole category. Now, there’s a new wave emerging offering all of the things their predecessors failed to deliver. Case in point: Sony’s new LSPX-A1 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector.

Interestingly, this device doesn’t throw an image across the room like standard projectors, but rather almost vertically up and onto your surface of choice – from a distance of just 9.6 inches away – without distorting the 4K HD image. That means you don’t have to worry about people walking in front of its 2,500-lumen laser-powered output. Did we mention it projects an up to 120-inch image at a resolution of 4096 x 2016? Or how about that the range of built-in speaker includes integrated organic glass tube tweeters, three midrange drivers, and a separate subwoofer to fill any space with booming and crisp sound? With that kind of tech and a construction of wood, aluminum, and a marble-like top surface, this is a piece of furniture and tech anyone would be proud to own.
