Sonus Faber’s Omnia Wireless Speaker Looks to Emulate Live Music

Seeing as it is a subsidiary of the McIntosh group, it comes as no surprise that Sonus Faber has managed to manufacture high-end audio equipment for quite some time. The company’s history dates back to the late eighties, and its latest reveal looks to embrace its Italian roots. Introducing the Omnia, an all-in-one wireless speaker that adheres to both traditionalism and top-tier technology.

Sonus Faber’s latest reveal boasts a remarkably powerful array of drivers, including a three-quarter-inch silk-dome tweeter, a pair of 3-inch paper pulp-cone midrange drivers, as well as a couple of side-firing full-range drivers, the latter of which are activated by the manufacturer’s signature signal processing system, Crescendo. This unique technology enhances the listener’s experience tenfold, adding a greater sense of immersion intended to emulate the sound of a live performance. Plus, record enthusiasts can make the most out of their collection thanks to its built-in phono stage.

While the Omina’s sonic prowess is remarkable, we’d be remiss to overlook its sleek composition. Measuring in at roughly 5″ tall, 11″ deep, and 25″ wide, the power this speaker packs speak volumes compared to its size. Standing out above the rest, however, is Senso, its chic wooden top panel that serves as a touch-sensitive interface that is composed of three illuminated lines designating your selected input, streaming service, and volume. Senso can also be controlled through its supplied remote, as well as via a smartphone or tablet. Lastly, if you’re not looking to listen to music, you can bolster your favorite show’s audio by connecting the speaker to your TV.

Although the Omnia won’t be available until the summer, you can take an extensive look at the high-end speaker on Sonus Faber’s website.
