Sonos Play:5 Beastie Boys Edition WiFi Speaker

Category: Tech

The Beastie Boys are one of those rare musical acts to transcend genres, demographics, and overall musical taste — no matter what style music you’re into, you can probably get down with at least a few of their tracks. This level of mass appeal and critical acclaim makes them the perfect partner for Sonos and their incredibly successful Play:5 home speaker.

The Play:5 is a WiFi-connected home speaker — not a Bluetooth speaker, like many of their competitors’ offerings — that won’t be disrupted by smartphone activity like texts or phone calls. It offers brilliant room-filling sound with deep bass that makes it a natural fit for the Beastie Boys’ vast catalogue. The device is AirPlay 2 compatible and works with Amazon Echo and Dot, as well as most streaming services. The limited edition WiFi speaker will be available in select retail stores in December — all proceeds from this product will go to the Peace Sister and Little Kids Rock charities on behalf of the Adam Yauch Foundation.
