Bean Boots are not unique. For over 100 years now the Maine based brand has been producing roughly the same style in roughly the same way. With the announcement of the Small Batch L.L. Bean Boots line, however, the brand is shaking things up pretty seriously.

Spring, summer, fall, and winter will all start off with the brand releasing three brand new and limited colorways. Each boot will boast the same basic silhouette – waterproofed rubber duck boot with chain-tread bottom, upper constructed from waterproof full grain leather, and a triple stitch for extra durability – but with a slight variation in style. For instance the summer line has a chelsea boot, fall a 10-inch Maine Hunting shoe, and winter an imposing 16-inch shearling lined boot. Along with the same basic design, the brand will retain their production methods – all boots are made at the brand’s Maine facility to ensure quality and attention to detail. These won’t be made twice so get your hands on them when you can.
