How does one build a hiking shelter that is protective, but at the same time incredibly unique and welcoming to the surrounding environment? Architectural firm Utopia answered that question with the Skyli Trekking Cabin.

The large structure boasts bright blue corrugated steel siding along with four steeply pitched roofs, and four floor-to-ceiling windows. The gabled roofs help shelter the cabin’s up to 15 guests, while at the same time providing a unique frame from which hikers are invited to look through. Utopia’s clever designed doesn’t just stop on the outside of the cabin, however. To conserve on space, the interior of the cabin features flat packing benches, beds, cupboards, and tables. And if your trip has been an unhappy one so far? The Skyli Trekking Cabin has plenty of power, food, running water, and a survival gear to nurse any weary hiker back to health.
