German watchmaker Sinn is celebrating 60 years of making some of the most rugged and capable tool watches on the market, and to mark the occasion, the brand has made a special limited anniversary version of one of their most popular and iconic models.
Sinn has a new rendition of their 103 Pilot Chronograph dubbed the Classic 12, and it is the most beautiful watch the brand has ever produced. Rather than going for a tough anniversary piece in their trademark materials of Tegimented or submarine steel, the brand has instead gone for broke in the style department with this absolute knockout. The Sinn 103 Classic 12 doesn’t even look like a 103, to be frank, as it changes the left-sided layout to a symmetrical tri-compax, ditches the printed Arabic numeral indices in favor of applied rhodium-plated batons, and trades the hash-marked aluminum countdown bezel for a clean 12-hour one in smooth ceramic. The reverse panda dial also looks tremendous with its cream-colored subdials, and the decorated Sellita SW 510 automatic movement is visible through a sapphire caseback. Truly a Sinn like no other, the 103 Classic 12 is limited to 600 pieces and is available from WatchBuys for $3,270.
