Singer Reimagined is the watchmaker sister brand of Porsche modifier extraordinaire Singer Vehicle Design, and the Swiss-based company is renowned for its unique and technologically impressive Track 1 chronograph. Now, the brand is launching a special and extremely limited version of the Track 1 in honor of Singer’s new DLS project cars.
DLS stands for Dynamics and Lightweighting Study, and it represents the most extreme cars that Singer has ever built, with the goal of improving performance and lowering the weight on the Porsche 964 without comprising the soul of the car. Inspired by the project, the Track 1 DLS chronograph has also shed some weight thanks to a new case made of forged carbon. Further aiding in weight reduction is the unique open-work case that features cutouts inspired by the intakes on the DLS cars. Every DLS Edition chronograph will be bespoke, with the watch’s Grade 5 titanium bezel, pushers, crown, and caseback all being finished to match the trim on its owner’s corresponding DLS car — and therein lies the rub. In order to purchase a Track 1 DLS, you must first buy a Singer DLS Porsche. And since just 75 of the cars are being made, that makes this one very exclusive chronograph.
