Silent-Yachts Revolutionizes Resort Stays With Its Solar Catamaran Retreat

No stranger to innovation, Silent-Yachts is the world’s only producer of ocean-going solar-powered yachts. Pairing the peace and tranquility of sailing with the luxurious comforts of yachting, Silent-Yachts’ catamarans offer a truly unique experience. However, the Austrian company’s latest concept has proven to be an even more groundbreaking venture.

The recently-launched Silent-Resorts subbrand marks the beginning of an entirely new type of resort retreat. Designed around a central floating dock, the Silent-Resorts Catamaran Concept features a fleet of solar-powered 60- and 80-foot Silent catamarans. Each boat comes built with four suites, including a guest room, a private bathroom, a kitchen, and a sun deck among various other luxuries. When docked, the catamarans essentially act as floating villas; come time for a change of scenery, just cast off and they’re fully seaworthy and ready to explore. But that’s not all — the Silent-Resorts Catamaran Concept also boasts some benefits unique to its design, like being both sustainable and also completely reversible. Though there’s no expected construction date just yet, you can check out one of Silent-Yachts’s catamarans to get a taste of what’s to come.
