Sidewinder Dune Buggy by Gray Design

Gray Design is looking to end the debate, creating what could be the absolute best vehicle for the zombie apocalypse. Meet the Sidewinder, an insane dune buggy designed for whatever you can throw at it.

The project was spearheaded by the folks at Grey Design, who chose an LSX Bowtie big block engine as the power plant. The end result is a setup that pumps out 630 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque, helping this beast sprint to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds, with a top speed of 93 miles per hour (on the sand). The Sidewinder was built to go anywhere and run over anything – which is why it’s also equipped with a high-tech chassis and 3.0 KING bypass shock absorbers with a set of massive tires found on all four corners. On the inside an Android outfitted OLED infotainment system with several display screens (created by the tam at Swedspot), gives the user full control of the vehicle while keeping an eye on the buggy’s vitals. It’s a concept for now, and we wouldn’t hold our breathes on this thing ever making it to production.
