Shwood Surfboard Resin Sunglasses

Sure, Shwood makes their sunglasses out of wood. And yeah, you don’t see that very often. But that isn’t the only thing that is cool about the brand. What they’ve always had a real touch for is the the ability to produce great looking products with even better stories. It is fitting then, that Shwood teamed up with Shaper Studios for a special collaboration.

The three sunglasses that the San Diego surf shop and Portland-based eyewear company produced encapsulate their best qualities; a focus on craftsmanship and an eye for design. Made from a custom bio-based surf resin and featuring colorways inspired by the Golden State’s coastline, each pair from the limited run tells its own story. The stand-out set of shades, the Canby Surf Resin sunglasses, not only feature a genuine hardwood frame but they also boast a full midnight black and deep blue surfboard resin overlay. While a lot of the sunglasses character comes from the use of unique materials they don’t rely on it. The shades have a really attractive modern look that stands independent the materials used. All things said a perfect pair of shades for the summer.
