Shwood stepped onto the fashion scene with a unique angle – crafting sunglasses made from recycled wood. As the brand continues to mature, they’re looking for new ways to stand out from the crowd, and we think the Shwood Newspaper Collection does that perfectly.

The brand’s design team has created a proprietary in-house technique that takes old periodicals, and transforms them into a stylish pair of shades. To do this, they glue about 1,600 feet of old newspaper together, creating a thick log. The team then cuts and shapes the actual glasses from this log, giving the old paper new life.
