Shinola Jackie Robinson Great American Series

Apr 13, 2017

Category: Gear

Introduced in 2013, Shinola’s Great American Series was started in an attempt to pay homage to Americans who either changed the way we lived or how we thought about the world. In the just four year run they’ve included people like the Wright Brothers, Maya Angelou, and now Jackie Robinson.

The heart of this collection is without a doubt the special edition 42mm stainless steel chronograph, a new design from the Detroit based brand. Only 442 of them will be made, each sporting a beautiful blue face and white subdials. Along with the timepiece, Shinola has released a special all grey number 42 cotton hat with leather strap, and a strikingly designed notebook and blue leather baseball. Whether you are an admirer of Robinson, or just an all fan of the sport that he changed forever, this collection is a great way to celebrate the start of the season. Unlike baseball, however, these are likely to move quickly.
