Shinola Hotel in Detroit

Category: Living

The American luxury brand known for making pristine timepieces and other specialty goods is building their very own hotel. Shinola has teamed up with Bedrock’s development and urban revitalization experts to construct a downtown Detroit hotel that feels like home.

The hotel is designed to feel inviting with parts set up to mirror a living room for a cozy vibe. There will be tall ceilings in the hallways for a spacious, liberating atmosphere and a multi-level sky bridge over an alley to connect the various buildings. Specialty items, immaculate fabrics, and retro pieces will adorn the American-built retreat. The 16,000-square foot space will also include food, beverage, and retail shops, in addition to the hotel, which will have eight floors and 130 rooms. Of the many rooms in the hotel, the glass-enclosed events space called the Conservatory looks particularly relaxing, especially as a place to enjoy a fine whiskey under the night sky. Currently under construction, the Shinola Hotel will open its doors to the public later this year.
