Shinola’s newly released Canfield Bolt has all the makings of a hit. It is predictably sharp and quality made, but more than that, the Detroit based company has offered buyer’s the ability to completely customize this new watch in their store.
The sandblasted sunray dial in the Canfield Bolt’s 43mm case only features the brand’s iconic thunderbolt. No numerals, no date window, no subdial, just that bolt and three thin indexing hands powered by an Argonite 713.2 quartz movement. That movement is stored in a black, gold, or silver case with either a green, blue, silver, gold, or black dial. These different options combined with the dizzying array of straps for you to choose from make it so buyers can get exactly the combination that fits your style or need. And of course, because everything that leaves Shinola’s factory has to be positively dripping in heritage, the box the watch comes in is made from a striking hickory and is hand made in Forest Lake, Minnesota.
