Seeing that it officially turned 50 years old this year, it’s not too surprising that the team at Shelby American would have something up their sleeves for the 1964 Shelby Cobra 289 FIA, and this is it. Introducing the Shelby Cobra 289 FIA 50th Anniversary Edition.

Based on the same vehicle that dominated the racing world through the 1960s (against cars like the Corvette, Aston Martin and Jaguar) this version of the vehicle is set to hit the scene in limited quantities. There will be 50 total units, all of which will be sporting the classic silhouette in a Viking Blue paint job complete with Arctic White FIA stripes and roundels. The vehicle has been updated with modern day conveniences like disc brakes, stronger frame, premium black interior, and aluminum/fiberglass bodies. The fiberglass model will start at $94,995, while the aluminum body will start at $159,995. [Purchase]
