There’s no denying that, in the automotive world, few characters can stand shoulder to shoulder with the likes of Carroll Shelby. And while the recent biopic, Ford v Ferrari, tells a small, albeit extremely important bit of his story, there’s a much larger true-to-life legend to be had. And now that legend is being explored in the Shelby American documentary.
Created by Nate Adams and Adam Corolla, this 2-hour documentary dives deep into the American icon through vintage footage, feet-on-the-ground research, and personal interviews with people that knew and worked with the late Shelby — including members of his surviving family. They even got in touch with members of Ferrari’s Le Mans team — to get the opposition’s insight into their near-mythic rivalry — and interviews with both Henry Ford II and Edsel Ford II. The expansive and educational feature is available now through Adam Corolla’s Chassy Media.
