Enter fledgling footwear startup, Senja, that’s now advancing the genre with its new waterproof Merino wool shoes.
Blending the silhouette of a traditional sneaker with that of a contemporary slip-on kit, Senja’s inaugural model utilizes an extremely-breathable, moisture-wicking design, while still being 100% waterproof. The shoe’s Merino wool interior offers an extremely comfortable fit, while also boasting anti-bacterial and anti-odor properties. Designed to be worn with or without socks, the shoe is also temperature regulating, enabling them to be conducive to both hot or cold weather use. The Merino wool-lined kicks are built upon a slip-resistant, high-energy return sole, that, when combined with the shoe’s minimal weight, makes them perfect for all-day wearing. And the shoes aren’t just great on your feet, but are also great on the environment, with Senja manufacturing its wares using reduced energy and water consumption. The Senja Merino Wool Shoes will carry an MSRP of $150, though they are currently being offered via the Hong Kong-based brand’s Kickstarter campaign for a limited time at a heavily-discounted $97.
