Self-Balancing Double iPad Robot

Finally we’re starting to see some real technology from the future. You know the gadgets you hoped would become a reality by the time you were an adult. Using your Apple iPad, the Double Robot allows you to virtually be in two places at once, a feature that could make a life a whole lot more interesting.

This self balancing robot utilizes an iPad mount up top that allows remote users to see and hear everything that’s going down on the other end. The Double has a built-in accelerometer and gyroscope that help keep it from falling over while moving, and is completely piloted by a remote iPad user (meaning you need 2 iPads to operate the device). The Double Robot is battery powered and utilizes dual pop-out kickstands when you’re not moving in order to preserve battery life for the unit. Reminds us of the Halloween South Park episode where the boys dressed as the Avengers, and Stan Trick-or-Treated as Captain America on an iPad. The technology used by Double Robotics is impressive to say the least, and we are excited to see how engineers and product developers continue to improve upon the concept. Check out the video below.
