Seiko has been milking the Milky Way for its Astron collection, and the new Seiko Astron GPS Solar watch is yet another step forward for mankind.

Using signals from GPS satellites, the Astron instantly adjusts to 39 time zones across the world. Setting the correct local time and date from anywhere on the planet is now as easy as the push of a button. Seiko says the new Astron designs are inspired by the curvature of the earth, and the new case, dial, hands, and curved sapphire crystal make for an arresting accessory on one’s wrist. Seiko is also tapping into space with the light from the luminous paint underneath the glass that “creates a sense of the earth’s atmosphere through the sapphire.” New Age music not included.
