Segway’s Gorgeous & Intuitive Air T15 Might Be The Perfect Folding e-Scooter

When it comes to inner-city transportation, few platforms can match the efficiency of the electric scooter. It’s somewhat painful to admit, but with companies like Bird and Lime helping to support the movement, it was only a matter of time before the genre exploded with high-profile offerings. The Segway Ninebot KickScooter Air T15 is one such example.

For many, the Ninebot KickScooter Air T15 is what the electric scooter always should have been. To live up to its potential, Segway has announced that over 12,500 hours of painstaking design, implementation, and testing have gone into the creation of the machine, which boasts a foldable aluminum/magnesium alloy body, a bezel-less dashboard, and IPX4 weather and corrosion resistance. It even has a groundbreaking six-axis sensor system that allows it to recognize and detect different modes of operation, helping riders to conserve battery life, garner more power, or adapt to different surfaces over the scooter’s 7.5-mile travel range. However, the implementation of a 250-watt hub motor means that you won’t be burning rubber anytime soon, especially since the Air T15 can only reach speeds of around 12 miles-per-hour. Head to Segway’s Kickstarter to opt into its funding program for around $569.
