Sega Forever Classic Game Apps

Though time has not been kind to the brand, Sega was once one of the greatest video game publishers in the world. And, to this day, hundreds of thousands of people still love old school classics like Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast, Comix Zone, and more. Well, now the publisher is bringing their retro games into the future via Sega Forever, a collection of their old games ported for play on both iOS and Android mobile devices. And they’re free.

You read that right. You can play all of the aforementioned Sega games plus a few more (and with even more to be released monthly) from all eras and systems on your smartphone, tablet, or otherwise. And you don’t have to pay a dime for them. You will, however, have to contest with some in-app ads unless you spend a couple bucks to disable them in each individual app. Still, it’s a small price to pay for the nostalgia. You can even save your game, use a Bluetooth controller, and compete to reach the top of the online leaderboards. If we don’t already spend way too much time on our phones, we’re certainly going to now.
