See-Through Glass Pot
Just when you thought you were satisfied with your cookware, Italian designer Massimo Castagna has revealed a beautifully designed, elegant all-glass pot that allows you to actually watch your water boil–even if all culinary conventions tell you not to do so.
The see-through pot is made from dense borasilicate glass and has been tempered to withstand high temperatures from a stove’s burner. The 8qt pot is dishwasher safe and is non-porous so that you won’t taste any of the flavors from the previous meal cooked in the pot. It’s durable, according to the description, which is important since the Massimo Castagna transparent pot will run you $200 at MoMA’s online store (plus a few extra bucks for shipping of course). Still, we’d recommend being extremely careful so that you don’t drop it.
