If you are the kind of person who lives for their work, you know the worth of a good desk. It’s almost like a partner – there with you when ideas get their start, around when they die, and for everything else in between. This Waterfall Desk from L.A. based furniture maker Sean Woolsey is particularly fitting for the workaholic because it has been treated with the same care and attention to detail that you show your own work.
Originally designed as a one-off custom for Architect William Itzen, the team at Woolsey’s studio liked this asymmetrical take on their Agent Desk so much they wanted to make it available to the wider public. Featuring slim legs on one side and a cascading solid slab of continuous grain black walnut down the other, it has a eye-catching quality to it. In addition to the striking wood finished with natural hand rubbed oil and wax, the desk features a built-in mousepad that opens up into a secret compartment with the use of a strong magnet. For secure storage, it also has a locking leather lined drawer with a power block for charging. All things said it’s a truly gorgeous bit of furniture anyone would be proud to have in their office. Prices start at $3,850. [Purchase]
