Scorpion Unveils A High-End Race-Derived EXO-R1 Air Motorcycle Helmet

Scorpion has long been a purveyor of quality mid-tier motorcycle gear, with an extensive catalog of economical offers, though the brand is now venturing into novel territory with the release of its new high-end EXO-R1 Air flagship helmet range.

The new full-face lid boasts a multi-layered “Ultra-TCT” shell composed of a fiberglass, aramid, and poly-resin hybrid composite that features an aerodynamic design with a low drag coefficient while still affording ample ventilation via its quad intake and quad exhaust port arrangement. Inside, the race-derived helmet gets a removable, washable, anti-microbial, moisture-wicking KwikWick III liner with recessed areas for glasses and comm systems, and Scorpion’s proprietary AirFit cheek pad system that inflates, allowing for a near-perfect fit every time. The EXO-R1 also packs titanium double D-rings, and an anti-scratch, Pinlock-ready Clear MaxVision visor secured via an EllipTec II quick-release mechanism. Sold with an anti-fog Pinlock insert, extra tinted visor, and backed by a half-decade warranty, the DOT/ECE-approved EXO-R1 comes in a variety of colorways including matte and gloss solid options, graphics designs, and race replica livery versions of WSBK Ducati rider, Alvaro Bautista and 2019 MotoGP Rookie Of The Year (and recent Monster Energy Yamaha signee and Rossi replacement) Fabio Quartararo.
