It wasn’t that long ago when electric vehicles were considered ugly and underpowered symbols of our uninspired and unexciting future. But those days are long gone. Case in point: the new SARVO37 Day Boat from Sarvo Marine.
The boat was crafted first and foremost with sustainability in mind, but performance, style, and luxury were all thoroughly considered as well. The boat’s Seaaluminum hull is crafted from 60 percent recycled aluminum and won’t corrode or rust. The synthetic wood deck is made from 80 percent recycled plastics — most of it harvested from the ocean — and is cooler and more UV-resistant than the real thing. Power comes from a fully electric motor mated to a custom battery system developed by former Koenigsegg EV Propulsion Systems Director Jonas Voss, which allows “hyper car related Kilowatts” to reach the engine. Power output is 1,280 horsepower, with a top speed of 70 knots. The boat’s sleek design was inspired by Scandinavian minimalism, and a luxurious cabin outfitted with a bed, bathroom, and coffee kitchen complete the package. No price has been announced as of yet, but you can inquire about the SARVO37 on Sarvo Marine’s website.
