Over the last decade, there’s been a massive push in the luxury patio, backyard, and outdoor spaces, with a continuing trend of companies releasing top-shelf items that have traditionally been reserved for living room and indoor applications such as outdoor chimneyed fireplaces, refrigerators, kegerators, and stovetops, weatherproof recliners and sectionals, and home theater systems and TVs. And the continued growth in this latter sector has now resulted in Samsung’s release of the new Terrace QLED 4K UHD HDR Outdoor Smart TV.
The Korean tech giant’s first-ever 4K QLED outdoor TV model, the Terrace is available in 55”, 65”, and 75” sizes. Equipped with an impressive spec-sheet, the Terrace offers 2,000 nits of brightness, quantum dot technology, can be used to access apps, controlled via a smartphone, or made to mirror mobile devices, plus it can even convert grainy, low-resolution footage into 4K. IP55-rated for dust and waterproofness, the TV has been designed to accommodate an array of easy and versatile outdoor mounting options and features an anti-reflective coating so it can be viewed in direct sunlight. Available now, pricing for the Samsung Terrace QLED 4K UHD HDR Outdoor Smart TV is set at $3,455 for the 55″, $5,000 for the 65”, and $6,500 for the 75”.
