Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatch
After all the buzz, it looks like smart watches are finally starting to materialize on the tech scene. The latest to surface is an offering from the folks at Samsung in their Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatch.
Sure it tells time, but “smart” watches do a whole lot more than that. This watch can be paired with your Samsung Galaxy device, allowing you to pretty much use the watch as a smartphone. There is a built-in microphone, camera (for video and photos), Bluetooth connectivity, a gyroscope, accelerometer, and a whole lot more. Text messages are far and wide the most popular way to communicate these days, and this watch will let you know when you have a new one, letting you preview it right there on the face of the watch. Of course we use our phone more for music than just about anything else, so it only seems right that the Samsung Galaxy Gear would allow you to completely control/listen to you your music right from your wrist. The watch will carry a retail sticker of $300 when it releases in October of 2013.
