Samsung Ahead Smart Speaker

Every once in a while we come across something we’re not sure how to categorize. Samsung’s Ahead Smart Speaker is one of those things. Is it a speaker? Or would it be more accurately described as a smart helmet device (and is that even a thing)? Either way – this thing is brilliant.

Ahead has an oscillator that transmits music by vibrating your helmet rather than trying to drown out surrounding ambient noise. This means you can enjoy your music, take calls, and even get turn-by-turn instructions without losing focus on the road. In addition to piping in your favorite tunes, the smart helmet device integrates voice assisted apps and has a built-in walkie talkie function for communicating with your friends or coworkers. And because your helmets are built to take a beating, Ahead is designed to be both water and shock resistant.
