Salomon Thoroughly Winterizes A Trio Of Rugged Hiking & Running Shoes

Building on its existing S/LAB Advanced Line, Salomon has just unveiled a trio of updated, winterized versions of three of its existing silhouettes. All three of the new hiking and winter running shoes boast Salomon’s Contragrip multi-density compound lugged outsoles for optimal traction even on wet and/or slick surfaces, as well as Ortholite open-cell structure insoles which offer top-notch comfort and moisture management.

The first of the three shoes is the S/LAB Snowcross ADV LTD, which sees the popular silhouette treated to a new fully-waterproof ripstop upper, and a ClimaSalomon membrane that was developed by the footwear purveyor to afford maximum heat retention while still allowing for sufficient breathability. Next is the S/LAB XT-4, a low-profile trail running shoe sporting layered nylon mesh uppers, an ultra-thin fused, abrasion-resistant TPU film lining, Salomon’s Quicklace system, and a dual-density EVA midsole paired with the manufacturer’s Evolved Agile Chassis System. Last but certainly not least is the S/LAB XTQuest Hi GTX ADV. These lightweight winter hiking boots boast a synthetic ripstop upper supplemented via a full GORE-TEX membrane, plus Salomon’s 4D Advanced Chassis guide and a rope lacing system that together offer a snug fit and unparalleled stability. The S/LAB Snowcross ADV LTD has been priced at $250, while the S/LAB XT-4 ADV has an MSRP of $224, and the S/LAB XTQuest Hi GTX ADV is going for $277.
