Sail Racing Orca Jacket

There are few places on earth as unforgiving as the open ocean. Its rolling expanses expose travelers, explorers, and athletes alike to whipping winds, vicious storms, and constant spray. That is why when Sail Racing designed their Orca Jacket, they left nothing on the table.

Intended for competitive sailors, this rain jacket manages to be both resilient and dynamic enough not to constrict movement while on deck. Made from a special GORE-TEX all way stretch fabric, the jacket is both wind and water resistant while maintaining a degree of breathability. Sail Racing didn’t want to leave anything to chance, though, so they reinforced the inside hem and sleeve ends with a liquid crystal polymer fabric called VECTRAN and equipped the jacket with YKK Aquagard zippers. The hood of the jacket wasn’t an afterthought, either. This portion of the jacket was engineered to be highly adjustable, grippy, and protective even in the worst conditions. Whether you often find yourself out on the seven seas or just need an incredibly durable top shell – this jacket more than capable of getting the job done.

Purchase: $1,400
