When Florida-based artist Austin Mahone decided to add a BMW i8 to his fleet of sports rides, he simply didn’t seem to have enough patience to let Mother Nature run her course of rusting the paint herself. So, instead, he decided to go with the experts at MetroWrapz, the Hollywood, FL-based business that specializes in adorning vehicles with custom paint jobs.
Such a unique personalized touch to the i8 completely overhauls the futuristic design the i8 is known for hosting. And strangely enough, MetroWrapz applied real oxidizable rust to their wrap film, allowing Mahone to remove the finish if at some point he has a change of heart. In addition to the rustic look, the grill and the car’s stylish Vossen rims were given the gold treatment as well to complement body’s orange hue. It’s the first time MetroWrapz has accomplished such a feat and by the looks the finished product, we’re sure we’ll be seeing this style again sometime soon. Each wrap is made to order with pricing available upon request.
