Temperatures and conditions in the mountains make for a particularly unique and challenging set of parameters when designing a ski or snowboard helmet. Despite this, Ruroc Helmets has managed to deliver a groundbreaking new snow helmet design by utilizing feedback from some of the most respected names in the industry—including Tanner Hall and Max Parrot—to create the all-new Lite Helmet System.
Outfitted with a myriad of intake and exhaust ventilation ports, the helmet itself is offered in ten different color schemes and design options and features an injection-molded ABS shell housing a precision-machined EPS liner. The back of the helmet’s equipped with a BOA-style sizing adjustment wheel while the front has a dozen magnets embedded into the frame that allows its anti-fogging, frameless dual-pane construction lens to quickly and effortlessly be changed on the fly. A locking mechanism on the back of the chassis ensures the lens will stay put, even upon hard landings or crashes, too. The helmet also boasts a magnetic Fid-lock closure, optional “Shockwave” Bluetooth ear pads, and eight matching balaclava face covers. Slated for a release on October 27, the Ruroc Lite Helmet & Goggles can be looked into further on the company’s website linked below.
