No one likes hitching their dog to a post or tree. People only do it because the prospect of losing Fido or having him run into traffic is much worse than 10-minutes of sad looks and barks. But still, with that being said, it isn’t ideal. Or at least it wasn’t before Ruffwear introduced their Knot-A-Hitch.

Intended for use at campsites, this piece of gear allows for your dog to move more freely while still being safely kept near the tent. All one has to do is set up the super tough kernmantle rope between two trees and then clip Ruffwear’s custom-designed hardware to your dog’s collar. Just like that your K9 companion can run around all they like without you worrying about having to stop her from get in a fight with a coyote or wild cat. Right now you can pick them up in red starting for $60.

Purchase: $60
