Working out of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, Bandit9 is a world-renowned custom motorcycle shop that’s developed a distinct identity and signature aesthetic through a growing number of polished alloy-bodied, space age-inspired one-off builds — several of which are now housed in some of the world’s most elite automotive and moto museums. With 2021 marking Bandit9’s tenth anniversary, the shop’s head honcho, Daryl Villanueva, has opted to celebrate the occasion with the release of an ultra-limited edition bolt-on kit for Royal Enfield’s Continental GT 650.
Comprising the kit is a half-fairing and a neo-retro tank that feeds into a pronounced matching tail cowl, all handcrafted from surgical-grade steel, the same material used to make the build’s monobloc mirrors, levers, and switchgear. Other noteworthy elements include a bespoke swing-arm extension, a pair of custom sweeping one-into-one exhaust with slash-cut pipes, custom LED lighting front and back, a weatherproof suede seat, custom clip-on handlebars with alloy grips, a one-off speedo, and a set of sawtooth-tread tires. In addition to the dramatic visual transformation and a longer wheelbase, the Jaeger also shaves almost 35lbs off of the Enfield’s curb weight. Limited to just nine units, Bandit9’s Jaeger is offered as a kit a la carte, or as a complete turnkey motorcycle for $28,000 (including the donor bike and international shipping).
