In April of 2019 SoCal-based ebike outfit, Super73 tapped custom moto icon, Roland Sands Design to craft a customized version of the brand’s S1 model that was displayed at the Electric Revolution exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum. And after the immense success and the ample hype generated by the first collaborative effort, Super73 has once again called on RSD, this time to whip up a limited edition version of the Super73-RX e-bike.
Built around the RX’s aluminum alloy frame, the RSD Edition sports a centrally located battery pack that opens up space along the chassis’ top rails for an MX-meets-cafe seat produced by RSD in conjunction with Saddlemen. The relocation of the battery (or “tank”) also results in a lowered center of gravity and better handling. Now controlled by a top-shelf Magura twist-throttle, the RSD RX is powered by Super73’s most potent powertrain to date, while stopping power also comes from a Magura MT Trail disc setup. There’s also Super73’s all-new GRZLY tires, custom-tuned fully-adjustable FOX suspension, MX bars wrapped in ProTaper grips, a pair of rear tracker-style number boards, blacked-out fork guards, and an RSD signature vintage-themed graphics package.
